It's been a long time since I've done this and, since my last entry was about Twilight, I figured why not revisit the topic.  We've still got another year before it goes completely unpopular afterall.

I saw Breaking Dawn.  There is so much to be said about this movie and yet, so little really needs to be said.

I do appreciate that the movie is more on par with the book than the other movies.  I always appreciate that about a movie based on a book.  If I choose to see a movie based on a book, it's because I wish to see how someone else pictured the characters, I'd like to see what the general census is on what a certain scene should have been like so basically: whether or not my imagination is as good as anyone else's.  If I wanted to see a spin-off of the book, I'd have written a fanfic.

That being said, it still doesn't mean that it was a good movie.  I think I would have preferred if they had simply gone their own way with this story.  I mean, a movie based off of a bad book is only going to lead to a bad movie, right?  

The best part of this movie for me, as it was with all the other Twilight series released thus far, was the wolves.  Not just Jacob but the wolves in general.  There was a scene or two that made me cringe because it was so incredibly cheesy but in general, I enjoy the wolf scenes.  Edward was more of a killjoy than usual, Bella still has a nasal infection which makes her have to keep her mouth open to breathe all the time, Rose was injured and had to be replaced by her male stunt double for half the movie?  I swear it was a man for half the movie!  Umm...Emmett took too much steroids or something cause he just looked weird, I did enjoy that Jasper has more of a personality but he still looks like he's trying to find himself and Alice was just frickin' adorable!  Could not have found a better actress for her!  Just ADORABLE!

So the big question; why do I torment myself by going to see these movies?  Well, I sort of have OCD.  Once I start a series, I absolutely must finish it, no matter how horrible it may be.  It was the reason I finished reading those books and the reason that I absolutely must see the last installment.  I still have hope, as I did for Part 1, that it might end differently.  Heaven knows I had my fingers crossed that they actually weren't going to call the child Renesmee.  

I've wished upon every falling star that someone will get it in their mind that the best end for this story would be for her to wake up in the hospital from a coma from being hit by the car that Edward supposedly rescued her from in the first movie.  None of it was real.  The Cullens are just unnaturally good looking and you are just too much of a klutz to be with them.  Accept that Jacob's your best friend in the world and marry him and move on and don't anybody dare kill my dreams!  This can still happen!  I have hope!  And belief!

Aside from that, I am alive and happy if not a bit cold at the moment.  South Carolina has finally decided to let the temperature fall so that we may experience Autumn.  Work has grown more frustrating but I am pushing through it AND I have started drawing again.  Altogether, things are not so bad.  Perhaps I'll even post again before Christmas!  What a lovely present that would be ^_^
